The RallyMobil Championship’s fourth round was presented to several media reporters by Kurt Horta – Clerk of the Course, Rafael Vera – Vicuña’s Mayor, Leonardo Alfaro – Seremi de Deporte (Sports Ministerial Secretariat) and Captain Raimundo Barrios, Comisario de la 5ta Comisaría de Vicuña (Vicuña’s fifth police station Sheriff).

The authorities officially opened a round that promises much thrill at the roads of Valle del Elqui (Elqui Valley). “It’s an honor to be here for the third year in a row and we thank the authorities, who help making this possible,” Kurt Horta declared.

The sports secretariat as well as the city’s Mayor expressed their will to continue to host the RallyMobil event, thanks to its contribution to the local community and its favorable impact on it, as it is a free and fun activity for the people. “We are happy to have you in Vicuña again. You will always be welcomed,” the Mayor said. Captain Raimundo Barrios further highlighted the importamce of people’s behaviour while joining their teams at the road, and stressed that with the help of the organization staff and the uniformed police everything should come out right on this aspect:“I am calling upon those who want to be there, on the road, to take care so that we don’t have to bemoan a tragedy.”

While reporters registered what went on at the media meeting, drivers went through Recce at the roads they will be racing on during this weekend. It all begins on Friday night at the Opening Ceremony and then at the night Special Stage, to be run between Vicuña and Mamalluca (5.6 km) at 20:28 pm.
