Peruvian driver Eduardo Castro plans to arrive in R5 at RallyMobil Championship in 2019 and chances are he does it aboard a Citröen. He will be travelling to France in a few days to test the car and decide whether he stays with the French brand or with one of his two other options, Sköda and Volkswagen. At the latter, the chosen car would be the recently homologated Polo GTI.
“The idea is to run this car throughout 2019 in Chile and to be able to vie for a couple of WRC rounds,” Castro assured. Actually, he intends to fight for the title and be a star in a series that will certainly draw some attention.
Castro in one of the many interested in enhancing the start list of the championship’s main category. Chile’s inclusion to the World Rally Championship calendar has spurred drivers in Argentina and Perú to come, and they are now planning their arrival in Concepción and the rest of RallyMobil’s rounds.
