The Chilean multi champion has recently become the third R5 driver of the team. On board a Skoda Fabia, Martínez joins Cristóbal Vidaurre and Alejandro Cancio, forming a really competitive team for the coming RallyMobil Championship season.

A news by CBTech Rally by Skoda Team that shakes things up in the RallyMobil environment. When the dispute at the Motorshow in Carén Lagoon Motor Park is yet to be faced, the team has announced the arrival of a new driver in 2019, at the most important motor sport competition in Chile.

Jorge Martínez together with his co-driver Alberto Álvarez have become undisputed main figures of RallyMobil, after gaining eight championship titles and being the most winner crew in its entire history. The duo has already committed the entry of a Skoda Fabia R5, coming straight from Czech Republic, to cope with a season filled with challenges in the nation, among which is the World Rally Championship round in Concepción in May.

Regarding the challenge ahead, in the Skoda, Martínez declared: “We’ve got a challenging 2019 and we are very happy of being able to join a great team and getting in the best car of the category. The target is big cause we want to win the WRC round in Concepción, besides from seizing the RallyMobil title once again. Our landing in CBTech Rally by Skoda Team is the step we thought necessary to consolidate the level we showed to have during 2018.”

Meanwhile, Javier Montero, Team Principal, also commented on the incorporation of the Martínez – Álvarez couple to the squad: “Jorge’s insertion is a product of the consolidation of a serious and professional work throughout the year. It’s a news that makes us happy because with Cancio and Vidaurre we were really competitive, and today, we become the most important team in RallyMobil. We’ll go out there next year to take the three positions on the podium, at each of the national championship’s rallies. But also, we’ll give it all we’ve got for our drivers to reach a significant place in the WRC round in Concepción.”

Thus, CBTech Rally by Skoda Team will count on referents of the discipline, in Chile and abroad. Argentinian champion Alejandro Cancio, Cristóbal Vidaurre, current champion in R3 and multi champion of the national contest, plus Jorge Martínez, driver who holds the most rally titles in our country, become one of the strongest squads to meet RallyMobil’s season 2019.
