Francisco “Chaleco” López’s new adventure in Rally Dakar 2019 is scheduled to begin on Monday at 1:34 PM.
A total of 331 kilometers will go across the Peruvian desert, through paths and dunes, where the driver from Curicó, Chile, did a Shakedown with positive results, testing suspension, brakes, tires and the SxS behaviour.
“We’re nervous but also calm, although it seems contradictory, we passed administrative and technical checks without any trouble, so now we’re up for a new Dakar experience on four wheels. We’ve done everything well with the whole team, so we’re convinced we’ll do fine,” Chaleco López pointed out.
Among López’s reunions after a five-year absence was the one with former biker and current car driver, French Cyril Despres.
