World Rally Championship is being put together for next season little by little. While teams close and announce their alignments, other try to sign up convenient programmes for the coming year. During the party that Skoda threw a few days ago, to launch it new office and to introduce the Skoda Fabia R5 Evo, the Czech manufacturer also said farewell to Pontus Tidemand.

The Swedish driver puts an end to his successful period as a driver dressed in green, leaving  Rovanperä and Kopecký as the only defenders of the team in WRC 2. This departure opens up an interesting list of possibilities, all of them about the sporting future of Pontus Tidemand. Logic takes us to think that wee might see him at the championship’s main class next season.

Up to now, no team has admited to have checked in with him. Even so, chances are that Tidemand could be negotiating his rise, to become part of some of the WRC teams’ agenda, as in the case of M-Sport. Another option would be to maintain the level, but now along with Volkswagen.
