Eduardo Kovacs won’t be able to race along with his usual co-driver Gustavo Beccaria, so Sebastian Waeger will replace him. Also, their car number 77 will be replaced by the 72. The Opel Adam driver seeks points after two very complicated rounds, to start stepping up towards better R2 ranking positions.
Kovacs hasn’t had a good season kickoff, since he did not add up points in Concepción nor in Los Ángeles, nevertheless, he’s ready for recovery at Frutillar. His car had an electric problem during the first round and couldn’t achieve the best performance, and during the second round´s first stage he crashed the car on the road and was left out of competition. Then, on Sunday, he could go back but with no chance to make an optimal race.
“The car’s conditions are excellent for Frutillar. We noticed a couple of details during trainning but solved them right away”, said Kovacs.
The driver knows how important this next round is for his championship goals: “Having a good road book is key to a good race in Frutillar and at the southern routes in general. Rather than fast, these are very technical rounds, where you need to look at how the field works while you move forward along each stretch.”
